Net Peptide Content Calculator

Work out how much of a weighed peptide sample is peptide, from the gross mass and the peptide content percentage on its certificate.

From the certificate

Result

Enter a gross mass and the peptide content percentage from the certificate for that lot.

Why purity and peptide content are different numbers

HPLC purity is the share of UV-absorbing material that is the target peptide. It does not see water, counter-ions or residual salts, all of which are part of the mass in the vial. Peptide content, usually measured by amino acid analysis, is the share of the weighed mass that is peptide at all. See peptide purity and how it is measured for the longer explanation.

Where the percentage comes from

From the certificate for your lot. This calculator does not assume a typical figure, because peptide content varies by sequence, salt form and lyophilisation, and an assumed figure would be a guess presented as a result.
